handschuhe mittens Austrian Shooting Mittens – KommandoStoreShooting in the winter time is mainly about keeping warm. Just ask the Soviet conscripts in 1940s Finland. Simo Hyh knows your location. Thankfully, Austrias pedigree for designing some of the best military clothing systems also translates to their mittens. Designed with a slit in the right hand palm of the mittens (sorry lefties) in order for your trigger finger to be as free as your average American, these mittens keep your fingers warm and intact.

Shooting in the winter time is mainly about keeping warm. Just ask the Soviet conscripts in 1940’s Finland. Simo Häyhä knows your location.

Thankfully, Austria’s pedigree for designing some of the best military clothing systems also translates to their mittens.

Designed with a slit in the right hand palm of the mittens (sorry lefties) in order for your trigger finger to be as free as your average American, these mittens keep your fingers warm and intact. You can fold back the mitten entirely to free all of your digits if you're feeling a little frisky, or need to manipulate any of your gear ;)

With the adjustable strap, you can keep the cold out so you don’t feel the need to grab a hot suppressor for warmth. Although running your fingers over a hot, ribbed KAC can is certainly a tantalizing thought…

Specs
  • 88/12 Wool/Poly Outer Shell
  • 100% Cotton Palm
  • Adjustable wrist straps
  • Storage Loops
  • Accessible trigger finger

Condition

Mittens are in great condition, with only minor signs of use and no tears, stains, holes, or cuts. All hardware is intact, and functional.

Sizing

We've roughly translated the Austrian glove sizing system to US sizes- these are pretty generous for fit so go with what is closest to your glove/mitten size.

Dog approved!
My dogs love this. This is the 3rd time I have bought them. They are entertained for hours and keeping their teeth strong. They pay me no attention when they have this toy. 😂

Our Dog Loves This One
We got our dog two nylabones and this benebone and he really prefers this one. Like the nylabones he barely even looked at, but he loves this one so much it's starting to splinter off a little. Apparently it can just be sanded down again but I'll probably end up getting more of these so that we can switch them out. I noticed that the shape also helps him be able to handle it with his paws.

Initially showed little interest, then decided she loved it
The product itself looks great and is clearly very well made but my dog had zero interest initially in this which I find odd because many other similar toys she has attacked. Update —- several weeks later all of a sudden my dog decided she liked this and started chewing on it and has been her favorite - go figure Update 2 — it’s become her favorite chew and she’s obsessed with it! My older dog started chewing on it, and it broke one of her old teeth!
